It is well-established that Turkic languages (as well as some languages from other language families in Eurasia) exhibit so-called verb sequences which often are not trivial with respect to their interpretation (cf. e.g. Schönig (1984) or Bradley (2016) for languages of the Volga-Kama Region). Dolgan, spoken by approx. 1,000 people (VPN 2010) on the Taymyr Peninsula and in adjacent areas, is no exception in this respect, cf. the following example:
