Scripts for modeling and simulating soil heterotrophic respiration

This repository contains two essential scripts used in the "Ideas and perspectives: Exploring effects of variation in plant root traits on carbon emissions from estuarine marshes" paper

1. Data processing script (process_ICBM.m): This script processes data from the simulation of the ICBM, focusing on the heterotrophic respiration of incubated soil samples.

2. Simulation script (perspective_script.m): this script was used to perform the simulation of soil respiration in the study. it compares different model configurations, with and without explicit representation of plant trait variation.
