Beschreibung:
Cerebral Schistosomiasis presents a wide variety of CT and MRI features. The characteristic findings are variable enhancing lesions mainly consisting of miltiple intensely enhancing nodules at the cortical or subcortical areas with perilesional edema, mass effect, central stellate enhancement, vascular enhancement and adjacent lepomeningeal enhancement. The characteristic imaging features might be useful for reliable diagnosis and for differential diagnosis from some other cerebral infections and neoplasm. Furthermore, all these image findings are important for therapy planning and follow-up.
