In der vorliegenden Arbeit wurden pilozytische Astrozytome (PA) von 91 pädiatrischen Patienten im Alter von 1-18 Jahren auf die Expression der immunhistochemischen Antigene Matrilin-2, NR2E1 und Pax-3 sowie die für PA typischen histomorphologischen Parameter Endothelproliferate, Gefäßfibrosen, Lymphozyteninfiltrate, Rosenthalfasern, Kalzifikationen, Mitosen, Nekrosen und Pleomorphie untersucht. Die Tumorproben waren in Paraffin eingebettet und stammten aus dem Institut für Neuropathologie des Universitätsklinikums Hamburg-Eppendorf. Es resultierten lokalisations- und altersabhängige Unterschiede.
The aim of the present study was to examine the immunohistochemical expression of matrilin-2, NR2E1, Pax-3 and and the histomorphological parameters endothelial proliferation, vascular hyalinisation, lymphocytic infiltrates, rhosenthal fibers, calcifications, mitoses, necrosis and pleomorphic cells in pilocytic astrocytoma (PA). The cohort comprised a set of 91 PA from paediatric patients (age 1-18 years). The study was performed on paraffin embedded tumour material, which was drawn from the archive of the department of Neuropathology, University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf. Localisation and age dependent differences resulted.
