Verfahren zum Speichern von Daten in Form von Skyrmionen und Antiskyrmionen, wobei das Verfahren die folgenden Schritte aufweist: - Bereitstellen eines Streifens aus einem ferromagnetischen Material, das eine anisotrope Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya-Wechselwirkung aufweist, - Schreiben eines Skyrmions durch Rotieren einer Magnetisierung in einem Randabschnitt des Streifens in einer ersten Rotationsrichtung und - Schreiben eines Antiskyrmions durch Rotieren einer Magnetisierung in einem Randabschnitt des Streifens in einer zweiten Rotationsrichtung, die der ersten Rotationsrichtung entgegengesetzt ist.
