Beschreibung:
  • Climate engineering in the judgement of experts and public opinion: Limiting human-caused climate change has become a key issue in world politics and public debate. The focus is on reducing emissions, primarily through renewable energies. The fact that additional technical interventions into the climate system or climate engineering measures will be necessary in order to achieve the goal of the Paris Agreement has hardly reached public awareness. One way to make the recent state of research to these measures better known is to conduct surveys among experts. At the same time, the attitude of the population plays a critical role in the implementation of measures. The article presents the results of recent investigations into expert opinions and the attitudes of the public on important climate engineering measures.
