    Sayre Sankano and Musa Molloh

The relationship between Musa Molloh and Sayre Sankano was very amicable.  Sayre Sankano was not only a friend but was Musa’s marabout and advisor. Sayre Sankano studied the Koran at Fouta under Foday Hayib Mamadu Konteh, the father of Foday Musa Konteh. Musa Molloh completely depended on him. In fact, Musa Molloh presented him with three of his sons and also two wives. Before Musa Molloh fought with his brother Dikori Kumba at Patta, he sent for Sayre to support him.  He was provided with spiritual water in order to charm and beguile Dikori and his men. Dikori was later ambushed and killed by Musa Molloh’s men.
