Beschreibung:
  • The premise of this chapter is that the protein detectors that currently exist perform poorly for the mass analysis of high-mass proteins. Over the last few years, we have developed the basics for a new type of protein detector, based upon an entirely new principle for protein detection, and show here a robust and high-performance device that will revolutionize the mass analysis of high-molecular-weight proteins. This will have a tremendous impact on biomarker discovery, pharmaceutical drug screening, and possibly virus detection.
