Beschreibung:
  • Ptychography is a microscopy technique that combines coherent small-angle scattering and raster-scanning to solve the phase problem. At each scan point a far-field image of the illuminated object is recorded. The set of images must be reconstructed afterwards commonly to get the complex-valued illumination wave field and transmission function of the object. The complex wave field completely defines the illumination in the interaction plane and thus along the optical axis. By this feature the ptychography is perfectly suited to investigate optical elements and coherent sources. I demonstrate this unique capability by the characterization of a focused free-electron-laser beam and a comparison of two modes of an optical laser. Based on the absorption and phase shift, of the as well complex valued reconstructed object, all optical properties of the sample can be derived. Using the example of nano-porous gold, I demonstrate ptychographic imaging in a sample environment with an artificial dynamic atmosphere and at elevated temperature, functioning without restrictions. To understand the catalytic reaction the valence state of the catalyst must be measured separately. I present a method to determine the spatial resolved valence state by energy-dependent ptychographic imaging. Using optical-light ptychography the photorefraktive characteristics of iron doped LiNbO3 is investigated. The change of the refractive index and the dynamic behavior of the light induced charge transport are measured and quantitatively described. Furthermore I can proof that the interaction planes inside a thick sample can be determined, even if the illumination is parallel throughout the sample.
