This article analyses the role played by the Galician bishops in the diplomatic negotiations between the Suebi and the Romans during the 430s. In this examination, particular attention is paid on the one hand to the hypothetical collaboration between Priscillianists and Suebi, and on the other hand to the contrast between Priscillianists and Catholics in the context of the conflict between the emerging Suebic kingdom and the dying Western Roman Empire.
