El trabajo titulado “El Teatro Regional en Tierra Mayas” ofrece una descripción del teatro que se ha hecho en Yucatán que ha incluido componentes étnicos. Lo que ha dado en llamarse “teatro regional” se caracteriza por ser producida por yucatecos y para yucatecos, y como tal, presenta un diálogo que concierne fundamentalmente a los lugareños y que destaca los dilemas que la misma sociedad se presenta a sí misma, entre ellos, el contacto intercultural.
This Thesis offers a description of the theater with ethnic components that has been made in Yucatan, this has been call “regional theater”. It is characterized by been produced by Yucatan people and for Yucatan people, and so, it shows a dialog that concerns fundamentally to the naives and shows the dilemmas that this society shows to herself, in that way it shows intercultural contact.
