Beschreibung:
  • This dataset contains the raw behavioral data associated with the study "Audiovisual spatial recalibration but not integration is shaped by early sensory experience" by Patrick Bruns, Lux Li, Maria J. S. Guerreiro, Idris Shareef, Siddhart S. Rajendran, Kabilan Pitchaimuthu, Ramesh Kekunnaya, and Brigitte Röder.

Data are stored in a 14880*10 data frame containing all information about stimulus presentation and performance for each subject in each trial of the experiment:

    • Column 1 (Subject):
Unique subject ID for each subject in the experiment
    • Column 2 (Group):
CC = congenital cataract-reversal individuals; DC = developmental cataract-reversal individuals; SC = sighted control individuals
    • Column 3 (Block):
Each block included auditory, visual, and audiovisual stimuli which were presented from four different spatial locations (-15, -5, 5, and 15 degrees). In Block 1, audiovisual stimuli included all possible combinations of the four auditory and visual locations; in Block 2, only three combinations of auditory and visual locations were presented (A: -15° and V: -5°; A: -5° and V: 5°; A: 5° and V: 15°). In both blocks, unimodal auditory and visual stimuli were presented from all four locations.
    • Column 4 (Trial):
The trial number within each block
    • Column 5 (Type):
Stimulus type, A = unimodal auditory; V = unimodal visual; AV = audiovisual
    • Column 6 (A_Location):
Location of the auditory stimulus, -15, -5, 5, or 15 degrees (NA for unimodal visual trials)
    • Column 7 (V_Location):
Location of the visual stimulus, -15, -5. 5, or 15 degrees (NA for unimodal auditory trials)
    • Column 8 (AV_Discrepancy):
Spatial discrepancy (in degrees) between the auditory and visual stimulus components in AV trials (negative = V to the left of A; positive = V to the right of A), NA for unimodal auditory and visual trials
    • Column 9 (A_Response):
Localization response to the auditory stimulus in auditory and audiovisual trials (NA for unimodal visual trials); participants indicated the perceived location by pressing one of 12 pushbuttons (values 1-12) which were placed directly in front of the loudspeakers and which had the same width as the loudspeaker/LED array (1 = leftmost button; 12 = rightmost button).
    • Column 10 (V_Response):
Localization response to the visual stimulus in visual and audiovisual trials (NA for unimodal auditory trials); participants indicated the perceived location by pressing one of 12 pushbuttons (values 1-12) which were placed directly in front of the LEDs and which had the same width as the loudspeaker/LED array (1 = leftmost button; 12 = rightmost button).
