Ahoi! Ihr wisst es bereits: diese Woche geht bei unserer Ringvorlesung „Another World Is Still Possible!“ der Themenblock „Ozeane“ in die zweite Runde! Diesen Dienstag spricht Kai Kaschinski, Projektleiter des Arbeitsschwerpunkts „Fair Oceans“ im Verein für Internationalismus und Kommunikation, welcher sich für unsere Weltmeere und ihre nachhaltige Nutzung einsetzt. Das Ziel ist es, die Meereswelt als politische Sphäre zu begreifen und Meerespolitik global mitzugestalten. In Kai Kaschinskis Vortrag „Stürmische See - Zwischen Ocean Grabbing und Ocean Justice in Zeiten multipler Krisen“ wird es auch genau darum gehen: die gesellschaftspolitische Dimension der Ozeane. English: Ahoi! You’re all well aware of this: This week, we will continue with the second lecture in the thematic block “Oceans” of your lecture series “Another World Is Still Possible!” This Tuesday, Kai Kaschinski, the project manager of the focus group “Fair Oceans” in the association „Internartionalism und Communication,“ will be our guest. “Fair Oceans” advocate for our world oceans and their sustainable use. Their goal is to understand oceans as a political sphere and shape ocean politics at a global level. Kai Kaschinski’s lecture, “Stormy Sea - Between Ocean Grabbing and Ocean Justice in times of multiple crises,” will be dealing with this very issue: the socio-political dimension of the oceans.
