Beschreibung:
  • Robotic user interfaces combined with a certain level of mixed reality are presented for 25 years but their appearance in scientific publications highly increased in the last 3 years. Their interdisciplinary nature makes them very interesting and powerful, but also very challenging to design and analyze. Many single aspects or subsystems have already been successfully provided with theoretical structure but to the best of our knowledge, there is no contribution combining relevant aspects to a holistic taxonomy. In this paper, we present the results of an investigation of relevant aspects from different scientific contributions of classifications and taxonomies and summarize all identified aspects in a list, including a brief description. During a card sorting experiment with professionals from the field of human-computer interaction, we clustered these into named groups for providing a new structure. Due to the nature of these groups, it was obvious to further categorize these groups into 4 different categories. Thus, providing a framework of objective, technical factors, which finds its application in a precise description of mixed reality robotic user interfaces. An example shows the effective use of the proposed framework for precise system description, contributing to better understanding, design, and comparison of systems in this complex field.
