In the summer of 2012, the ATLAS and CMS experiments at the Large Hadron Collider announced the discovery of a new particle, with properties consistent with those expected from the Standard Model Higgs boson. Since then, its properties and its interactions with other particles have been studied by both experiments using the data that have been collected in the meantime, increasing the number of Higgs bosons produced by a factor of 36. This article gives a brief overview of the measurement of the Higgs boson mass and of Higgs boson interactions with gauge bosons and with third-generation fermions. To date, all measurements have been found to be consistent with the predictions of the Standard Model of particle physics. © 2023 International Journal of Pharmaceutical and Phytopharmacological Research.
