Beschreibung:
  • Following up the discussion about the web 2.0 (O’Reilly 2005) and participatory culture (Jenkins et al., 2006) this paper engages first findings about participatory learning with digital media in formal context. It deals with the assumption how potentials that are attributed to the social web contribute to a participatory way of teaching and learning in classrooms. Therefore, the paper primarily differentiates the meaning of participation in formal educational context generally. Secondly, first findings of the explorative study ‘PaLerMe’ (Enabling participatory teaching and learning with digital media) will be presented followed by conclusions.
