Quantized spin waves in ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic structures with domain walls

  • Quantized spin-wave modes in ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic spin systems with transverse domain wall have been studied theoretically. We demonstrate that the analytical solutions for spin waves in systems with domain walls as well as for spin-wave patterns bound in the wall are in good agreement with numerical solutions found by means of Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert dynamics. We discuss the difference between ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic standing spin waves and explore standing spin waves in antiferromagnetic spin ring structures. © 2009 The American Physical Society.
